(Bangkok Post file photo)A total of 28.64 million tourists arrived in Thailand during first 10 months this year, generating revenue of 1.45 trillion baht, according to Deputy Prime Minister Thanasak Patimaprakorn. Income from foreign tourism was 1.45 trillion baht, an increase of 9.02% on same period last year. In October alone, visitor numbers increased 20.17%, contributing revenue of 129.8 billion baht, up 21.77% from last October. The National Tourism Committee announced on Wednesday it will help improve the quality of local and street food and improve hygiene and cleanliness at major tourist attractions.
